Buddhists also avoid alcohol and do not eat meat that was killed primarily for food. They believe in rebirth. They seek nirvana, which is the process of many rebirths. Islam This is the newest of the major religions and originated with its major prophet, Mohammad. This religion is prominent in the Arab countries and is the fastest-growing religion in the world. Muslim practices include fasting and following dietary laws called Hallal.
