Answer to Question 1

For anthropometric measurements, yes I agree because there will be no means for follow-up to determine improvement. For anergy measurements, yes I agree because there was enough evidence without it to indicate nutritional depletion. Emphasis is being placed on reducing cost and there is not enough justification for the test considering the cost.

Answer to Question 2

Could be because he is getting old and his taste buds are failing or could be result of a zinc deficiency. Mr. D's intake of zinc-containing foods is low.
