Answer to Question 1

In many cases it will be the manager who is responsible for training a restaurant's receiving personnel. In some cases, however, highly qualified staff may be assigned the training task. Is important to recognize that a manager's responsibility for ensuring proper receiving is retained by the manager even if non-management staff is assigned to the training of a restaurant's receiving personnel. Because that is true, managers must carefully monitor the training process whether they retain the responsibility for training or the training is to be done by others.

Answer to Question 2

Counter service is a quick service that is inexpensive and informal. The counter server will typically be assigned 12 to 18 seats depending upon the menu and how quickly the seats turnover.
