Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

The history of foodservice began with inns and rest shelters back in ancient history where weary travelers would stop overnight and then receive a meal or two before they went out on their way. These original restaurants would be considered casual dining in today's terminology as they were typically served full service table style. With the advent of the car and more mobile travel, the roadside inn with foodservice as a part of it gave way to the start of the drive in restaurant- a version of the traditional fast food restaurant of today.
