Answer to Question 1

B

Answer to Question 2

The country of Morocco has some very interesting cooking fats. Some are not seen
in any other cultures. An example is argan oil. This oil which is used for cooking,
salads, and dipping comes from a very ancient Moroccan tree, the argan tree. It
produces fruit whose kernels are roasted first then pressed for oil. A second
unusual Moroccan cooking fat is smen. It is a fermented salted butter which has a
strong taste. It is aged at room temperature for up to two weeks giving it a very
strong taste. The last important Moroccan cooking fat is olive oil. Morocco grows
olives and the oil that is produced is a very fine, and flavorful, olive oil that is good
with many foods.
