Ideally, keep a food record for 3 daysone of which should be a weekend day. Detail is important. Include brand names, preparation methods, recipes for homemade items, and portion sizes. Estimate or measure serving sizes accurately. Choose representative, normal days. Do not change your normal eating patterns.
