Answer to Question 1

Answers may vary, but should cover the following points:
Interval training alternates repeated periods of intense exercise with periods of lower-intensity exertion. The harder
intervals of strenuous activity should be no longer than 1 to 5 minutes. After a brief, but still active, rest, the person
continues the exercise but at a more moderate pace. For example, a runner might sprint down the path at an all-out
pace for 3 minutes, then slow down and continue running (or jogging) at a more moderate, more sustainable pace
for a longer period of time. Interval training should not be done every day.

the improvement stage of their tness program.

Dogs have been used in studies to detect various cancers in human subjects. They have been trained to sniff breath samples from humans that were collected by having them breathe into special tubes. These people included 55 lung cancer patients, 31 breast cancer patients, and 83 cancer-free patients. The dogs detected 54 of the 55 lung cancer patients as having cancer, detected 28 of the 31 breast cancer patients, and gave only three false-positive results (detecting cancer in people who didn't have it).
