Answer to Question 2

Cardiac rehabilitation will allow the patient to begin an exercise program individualized for his health, age, and physical ability. He will also be taught to progress his physical activity at home and prepare for his return to work.
Cardiac rehab will place him in contact with professionals who will educate him about how to recognize heart disease signs and symptoms and understand his medications.
Smoking cessation programs may also be provided.
It also can assist with lowering blood lipids through medical nutrition therapy and physical activity.
These interventions will reduce the risk of a future heart attack through risk factor modification.
