What is the purpose of a predetermined fallback position in negotiation?
◦ Where negotiation on specific point might be concluded-concessions one is willing to make
◦ Knowing the weaknesses of vendors so that the best arguments can be made
◦ Competitors to approach if an acceptable deal cannot be made with the vendor
◦ Treats to evoke if purchaser does get their way with vendor-"bag of dirty tricks"
