Similar to deep relaxation, the practice of meditation can reduce stress and anxiety symptoms. It may also reduce chronic pain, improve immune responses, increase the volume of cerebral gray matter, and slow declines in age-related cognitive function.

Answer to Question 2

We can accomplish this primarily through getting adequate sleep and sufficient relaxation.
