Answer to Question 1

A

Answer to Question 2

According to any food pyramid's guidelines, we should eat more foods at the base of the pyramid and less as we move toward the top. Following the Healthy Pyramid's recommendations we see that the base of the pyramid consists of daily exercise along with maintaining caloric balance for weight control. The next level of the pyramid is populated by fruits and vegetables, healthy fats and oils, and whole grains. Moving higher, we find sources of protein that emphasize nuts, seeds, beans, tofu, fish, poultry, and eggs.. Next is dairy followed by sugar, salt, high saturated fat and glycemic foods that should be eaten sparingly. A daily multivitamin is recommended for most along with extra D vitamin. Last, alcohol is optional and should only be consumed in moderation by adults with lower risk factors.
