Answer to Question 2

Several common stereotypes are: Black families approve teenage childbearing; Black
adult mothers welcome being grandparents; Black teens are not concerned about their
reputation, nor are their mothers; there is lots of kin support for young Black mothers and
their baby; Welfare is increased to take care of the new child, so no one has to worry
about expenses; Young fathers do not marry but they help take care of the child. Others
may be mentioned. All are refuted.
