- Expand you knowledge of others
- Step outside yourself; put yourself in someone else's place
- Take into account social inequality
- Check your critical thinking skills
- Try things out

List at least 4 factors that have contributed to the global epidemic of obesity. 4 points; 1 each for any 4 of the following:
- Eating more calories than are being burned off
- More fast food and soft drink consumption
- Larger serving sizes
- More snacking; readily available snacking
- More people working means less time to cook which leads to more purchased meals, many from fast-food chains
- Reduced physical activity from a more sedentary life style
- Our bodies are wired to eat when food is available; food is always available these days
- Increased stress
- Decreased sleep
- Cultural factors such as clean your plate or getting a good value or a value placed on obesity because it has, in the past, indicated wealth
- Wanting to imitate Western lifestyles
