Answer to Question 1

Answers will vary and should include the feeling of health and well-being, the ability
to bounce back after a severely stressful event, and how vitality is associated with
personality.

Answer to Question 2

The purpose of gastric bypass surgery is to produce substantial weight loss by
permanently altering the anatomy of the digestive system. Risks associated with the
surgery include complications and even death. Morbidly obese people benefit most
from the surgery because their rates of death are most likely higher without it.
