Answer to Question 1

b

Answer to Question 2

Biological factors such as heredity and neurotransmitters play a role in adolescent depression. Heredity puts some adolescents at greater risk for depression. Some adolescents may feel depressed because lower levels of neurotransmitters make it difficult for them to experience happiness and joy. Attributions such as temperament and belief systems also play a role in adolescent depression. Children who are less able to regulate their emotions become adolescents who are prone to depression. Depression prone adolescents are more likely to see themselves in a negative light and blame themselves for failure.
