Cephalopelvic disproportion occurs when the infant's head is larger than the pelvis, making it impossible for the baby to pass through the birth canal. Women can consider home delivery when they are healthy, their pregnancy has been problem-free, a trained health care professional is present to assist, and comprehensive medical care is readily available should the need arise.
