Students should list two of the following four:
1 ) a rhetorical question
2 ) a startling fact or statistic
3 ) a statement to be disproved
4 ) an anecdote (a humorous story)

Answer to Question 2

When the audience is likely to agree with the message, speakers should use the direct approach, starting with the main idea.
