 a. all the objective function coefficients are included.

  c. the decision variables are set at either maximum or minimum values.
  d. the units of measurement on both sides of the constraint match.

RATIONALE: When formulating a constraint, the units of measurement on the left-hand side of the constraint must match the units of measurement on the right-hand side.

Answer to Question 2

1/12 or 0.0833 or 8.3
RATIONALE: The probability of rolling a sum of 11 corresponds to the event (6, 5), (5, 6) which is 2 out of 36 = 2/36.
The probability of rolling a sum of 12 corresponds to the event (6, 6) which is 1 out of 36 = 1/36.
Using the addition rule we add the two we have 2/36 + 1/36 = 3/36 = 1/12.
