Narcissists can be enjoyable dating partners because they can be charming and flattering to get what they want. However, they are not interested in long-term committed relationships because they're more interested in themselves than others. To maintain their dominance in romantic relationships, many narcissists resort to game-playing (ludic) love. They see themselves as superior to their partners and seek statusa spotlight on themselvesrather than meeting their partners' needs. As a result, they may be unfaithful, break confidences, and keep their partners guessing about the extent of their commitment.
