Neutral employers have little reason to become involved in the labor dispute since the customers will buy other products. In Safeco, if the appeal succeeds, consumers have no realistic option other than to boycott the neutral employers altogether. The neutral retailers will stop buying Safeco title insurance because of pressure designed to inflict injury on its business.
