Answer to Question 1

Under the Patriot Act, INS was split into three parts, all of which are in bureaus under the Department of Homeland Security. Under the Act, security clearances and background checks have been toughened, there is better coordination between immigration-related government agencies, and there is increased governmental ability to track foreign nationals in the United States. These agencies under DHS also have programs for checking employers' records for verification of citizenship and documentation to work in the United States.

Answer to Question 2

Employer must have a fiduciary act as the responsible party for the pension investments; must disclose on an annual basis the amount the employee has in the plan and what that means in terms of retirement benefits; employer use of funds is restricted.
