Your neighbor has just informed you that a developer wishes to construct a 150unit apartment complex just behind both of your properties. Your neighbor thought the area was zoned for singlefamily dwellings and is concerned about her property value and the construction of the complex. What steps can be taken to challenge the construction?

1. The developer will have to seek a variance if the zoning is singlefamily.
2. Notice to surrounding property owners will be given. The ordinance could be supported and the variance opposed. Effect on property values, congestion, transient population could be discussed.
