Students should critique their own habits and manners that they see or that they know manifest in the workplace, based on their experiences and recollection. They should recognize that their general habits tend to show wherever they go, unless they have developed tremendous awareness and have found ways to overcome them. It is difficult to flip manners and habits like a switch simply by walking into or out of an externship site, workplace, or potential employer's office.
