Answer to Question 1

D
Repositioning the patient is the best initial remedy.

Answer to Question 2

C
Elevating the wrist with a firm support eliminates the need to keep the wrists flexed for long pe-riods of time. This wrist support will help prevent CTS. Repetitive motion increases risk for car-pal tunnel. Wrapping the wrists or applying warm compresses do not lessen risk of developing carpal tunnel.

There are major differences in the metabolism of morphine and the illegal drug heroin. Morphine mostly produces its CNS effects through m-receptors, and at k- and d-receptors. Heroin has a slight affinity for opiate receptors. Most of its actions are due to metabolism to active metabolites (6-acetylmorphine, morphine, and morphine-6-glucuronide).
