Fatigue and depression are withdrawal symptoms associated with the use of amphetamines. When patients are unsuccessfully attempting to cut down on their use of the substance, dependence can often be the cause. Fixation on obtaining more of the substance is characteristic of dependency. Patients are more likely to develop tolerance to the drug and require greater quantities to get the same result.
