The nurse is teaching a family about treatment for their children's pediculosis. What should the nurse instruct these parents?

2. Hot showers will not kill the lice, and could burn the children.
3. The entire family is treated with Nix, usually twice. The family is taught to strip all beds, wash clothes in hot water, and clean the house well.
4. Lice will continue until they are killed with a chemical substance.
