2. Difficulty with night vision is caused by an increased constriction of the pupil.
3. Decreased peripheral vision is because of a loss of subcutaneous tissue around the eyes.
4. Increased density of the lens causes difficulty with focusing, particularly for near vision.
5. Increased density of the lens affects color perception, especially blues, greens, and violet.
