Answer to Question 1

Answer: 2

1. The forearms often have loose flesh, and are not a good area to assess turgor in the older adult.
2. The sternum is the best place in the older adult to check skin turgor.
3. The knee is not the best choice of areas to check for skin turgor in the older adult.
4. The back of the neck is apt to have loose skin, which would make assessing turgor very difficult in the older client.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: 3

1. Radiography does not require activity on the part of the client.
2. The client will not be exercising for this test.
3. Contrast media for this test contain iodine, so ascertaining allergies to iodine or seafood is a priority assessment.
4. Consent forms are not required for this test.
