Answer to Question 1

Answer: C, D, E

Interventions for the client experiencing acute chest pain include administering oxygen as prescribed, keeping on bed rest, and administering morphine sulfate as prescribed. Non-pharmacologic pain management techniques are not appropriate for an episode of acute chest pain. Antianxiety medications are not effective in acute chest pain.

Answer to Question 2

Answer: B, D

Herbal remedies such as evening primrose oil, garlic, gingko biloba, or grapeseed extract can increase the effect of the aspirin. Aspirin inhibits platelet aggregation and clot formation. Bleeding and bruising can occur, and should be reported to the healthcare provider. Itching is not a common side effect of aspirin therapy. Aspirin and Coumadin are not to be taken concurrently. No lab appointments will be made just for aspirin therapy.
