Answer to Question 1

The three ways tumors are classified are: by anatomic site, which indicates where the cancer originated in the body; by grading, which is a microscopic analysis form that reports the prognosis and determines if the tumor will respond to radiation therapy; and by staging, which evaluates the spread of the tumor.

Answer to Question 2

1. Partial seizures (focal seizures) are those in which electrical disturbances are localized to areas of the brain near the source or focal point of the seizure.
2. Generalized seizures (bilateral, symmetrical) are those without local onset that involve both the right and left hemispheres of the brain.
3. Unilateral seizures are those in which the electrical discharge is predominately confined to one of the two hemispheres of the brain.
4. Unclassified seizures are those that cannot be placed into one of the other three categories because of incomplete data.
