Answer to Question 1

The symptoms of menopause include irregular periods, hot flashes, vaginal dryness, insomnia, joint pain, headache, emotional instability, irritability, and depression. Breast tissue can lose its firmness, and pubic and axillary hair become sparse. Without estrogen, the uterus becomes smaller, the vagina shortens, and vaginal tissues become drier. There can be loss of bone mass leading to osteoporosis.

Answer to Question 2

The vital functions of the urinary system are extraction of certain wastes from the bloodstream, conversion of these materials to urine, transport of the urine from the kidneys via the ureters to the bladder, and elimination of it at appropriate intervals via the urethra.
