Answer to Question 1

The dry form is marked by atrophy and degeneration of retinal cells with the formation of small yellow deposits. There is no treatment for this form.
The wet form results from the growth of new and oozing blood vessels under the retina and macula. The wet form can be treated with laser surgery.
