Answer to Question 1

Peripheral machines measure density in the finger, wrist, kneecap, shin bone, and heel. Central machines measure density in the hip, spine, and total body. Both tests are simple and painless. The result of the test is called a T score.

Answer to Question 2

D
Explanation: It might be easy to confuse -plasty, surgical repair, with -scopy, the process of viewing, which is also an invasive procedure.
