Answer to Question 1

B
Facial malformations is a common characteristic of neonates born with fetal alcohol syndrome. Short limbs and extra digits are not characteristic of neonates born with fetal alcohol syndrome.

Answer to Question 2

B
Rapid increase in the volume of feedings is a risk factor for NEC. Although important, hypothermia, excess lights and noise, and fluid-electrolyte balance are not risk factors for NEC. Maintaining fluid-electrolyte balance reflects the stabilization of the body, not the GI tract.
