Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
Rho(D) immune globulin (RhoGAM) is given to Rh-negative women at 28 weeks' gestation to prevent erythroblastosis fetalis in the newborn. It is given intramuscularly. The injection protects the fetus, not the mother.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: A, B, D, E
A ventricular septal defect, pulmonary valve stenosis, hypertrophic left ventricle, and the aorta positioned over the ventral septal defect are the four characteristic defects of tetralogy of Fallot. Failure of the ductus arteriosus to close after birth is indicative of patent ductus arteriosus.
