Answer to Question 1

Antiquated selling is seller-oriented selling. It may include high-pressure selling tactics, little effort to understand the customer's business, and little post-sale follow up. Modern selling is focused on the customer instead of the seller. It is based on mutual trust and agreement. Modern selling seeks to establish long-term relationships.

Answer to Question 2

The advantages of pursuing a job in sales include job freedom, variety and challenge, opportunities for advancement, and attractive compensation and non-financial rewards.
