Answer to Question 1

Within a culture, individuals in the same demographic may react to a marketing strategy in the same way. Demographic trends are valuable indicators for identifying new markets. However, the ability to use demographic data as a planning tool depends upon a business's ability to collect and access demographic data.

Answer to Question 2

The undifferentiated segmentation strategy looks at all customers as one market. This strategy works when a market is too small to be profitable to target. It also works when a small group uses the majority of the product or when a brand is dominant in the market.
