Regarding languages, a marketer should know that
 a. in India, there are approximately 200 minor languages and 1000 dialects.
  b. English should be used in marketing in the United Arab Emirates.

There are 300 minor languages and 3000 dialects in India. In France, labeling is required by law to be in French. With these things in mind, the spoken/written language poses a number of concerns for marketers. Because the UAE has a number of immigrants that do not understand Arabic, a marketer should use English in the UAE. This may be found in Language section (5-2a).
