The following are barriers to advertising standardization: the communication infrastructure ( a particular medium might be inappropriate or not available for advertising), international advertising agencies might not serve a particular market, differing consumer literacy levels, legal restrictions and industry self-regulation, differing values and purchase motivations across countries and cultures, and differing attitudes toward the product or service country of origin.
