Answer to Question 1

By working at home, couples and families will have increased contact with one another which should strengthen marital relationships. They will also have increased time with their children. Such a situation should reduce the incidence of divorce.

Answer to Question 2

The basic demographic equation is Growth Rate = births - deaths + net migration.
Europe has a low birth rate. In many countries the birth rate is less than 2.1, which will result in population shrinkage. Although the immigration rate is not as high as it was in the early 20th century, more people leave most European countries than emigrate into them. As a result, there are a greater number of deaths than births and a negative net migration which results in a loss of population.
Africa has a high birth rate and lower death rate than in previous generations causing a massive population increase. Sub-Saharan African is the most rapidly growing region in the world. There is a limited amount of migration from African nations. The end result is population growth.
