While running in a parking lot, a young boy tripped and fell. He hit his face and mouth on a curb, knocking one of his top front teeth from its socket. Bleeding has been controlled and the tooth found. What instructions would you give your partner when caring for the tooth?
 
  A) Wrap the tooth in dry gauze and put it in a plastic bag placed in cool water.
  B) Scrub the tooth first to get the dirt off of it and then we will put it back in the socket.
  C) Rinse the tooth first then put it in a cup of saline for transport.
  D) Make sure to only touch it by its root when scrubbing the dirt off it.
