A 7-year-old child was riding a bike downhill and struck a parked car. He was thrown from the bike, impacting his head and back on the roadway. Presently, he is alert, oriented, and complaining of a headache. His airway is open and his breathing is adequate. A radial pulse is easily palpated and his skin is warm and dry.
