Answer to Question 1

The right upper quadrant (RUQ) contains the gallbladder and part of the liver. The left upper quadrant (LUQ) contains the spleen, pancreas, stomach, and part of the liver. The left lower quadrant (LLQ) contains some of the female reproductive organs and the descending colon. The right lower quadrant (RLQ) contains the appendix, ascending colon, and female reproductive organs.

Answer to Question 2

Breathing rate increases and is faster than is needed for proper oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange. This decreases the level of carbon dioxide in the blood and can cause chest pain, dizziness, and tingling sensations in the lips, fingers, and toes. If hyperventilation continues, the person may lose consciousness.
