During the primary grades (sixeight years of age) children become increasingly capable of drawing correct conclusions and inferences from information and of understanding the thought processes that control learning and recall.

A well-structured problem is one that can be clearly stated, for which known procedures lead to the solution, and whose answer can be evaluated by known standards.
