Because it is important for students to begin their school careers with confidence in their abilities, a teacher should give plenty of praise and reinforcement and avoid criticizing.

Situated learning is a constructivist concept. It holds that embedding learning tasks in realistic settings or contexts is more likely to produce meaningful learning outcomes than tasks in a traditional classroom setting.
