Answer to Question 1

ANSWER: Create a curriculum covering multiple areas of development, allowing students to portray the subject matter through whatever medium they choose.

Answer to Question 2

ANSWER: Subject-matter knowledge and teacher competence are vital concerns because content knowledge is a centerpiece of the realist philosophy. The way we acquire knowledge about reality is through systematic inquiry into the subjects, and teachers must know the subject matter if they are to teach it. Content mastery is most important.
