The organizational confrontation meeting is a total organizational intervention. At this meeting, all of the managers of an organization meet to confront the issue of whether the organization is effectively meeting its goals.

Then the consultant divides the managers into groups of seven or eight, ensuring that the groups are as heterogeneous as possible and that no bosses and subordinates are members of the same group (so as to encourage free and frank discussion). Top management uses this statement of the issues to set organizational priorities and plan group action.
