Explanation: A) In equity theory, you compare yourself and a referent comparison based on the effort exerted for a task and the rewards each person receives. If you perceive the referent comparison receives more rewards than you for the same effort, you will be less motivated to continue putting in the same level of effort. The evaluation of equity is based on perceptions and not objective standards or data and it is internal to one person based on their individual perceptions of the factors.
