Individuals are guilty of selectively processing what they see and hear to keep their perceptions intact; 5. threat to expertise  changes in organizational policies and practices may threaten the expertise of specialized groups and department; 6. threat to established power relationships redistribution of decision-making authority can threaten long-established power relationships within an organization; and 7. threat to interpersonal relationships  reorganizations, transfers, and restructuring of work layouts change the people that employees work with, report to, and regularly interact with.
