The different types of controls that supervisors can implement are preventive control, concurrent control, and corrective control. Preventive control anticipates and prevents undesirable outcomes. Concurrent control takes place while an activity is in progress, on a day-to-day basis. Corrective control provides feedback after an activity is finished in order to prevent future deviations.
